Course Offerings
Once registered, students may study at
the AMVETS Career Center computer lab during open hours or any place that has broadband Internet access including
the comfort of your own home.
In short, AMVETS Career Center can
provide access to over 1,500 Internet-based training courses that cover such subjects as:

Basic computers and Internet skills for people who have
limited computer experience

Office productivity applications such as Word, Excel,
PowerPoint and QuickBooks.

Home management skills such as retirement planning, basic
investing, and estate planning

High-level computer skills in preparation for
certifications such as MCSE, CCNA or Networking+

Web design courses including use of Dreamweaver, Flash and
Photoshop technology

Health and Safety courses to meet OSHA
requirements

Professional Food Manager and Food Handler
certification

Additionally, whenever there is a
special training need for a person the Career Center can assist by trying to arrange a course to be taught locally.
Such training provided in the past includes computer maintenance and repair, residential wiring, and construction
